Saturday, December 2, 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm
Trinitarian Church - 147 Main Street
Our program will be "December in New England: Music from 1673 to the Present." The music is by composers who are from New England, or spent a good deal of time working here, and will feature pieces from the Bay Psalm book, the first book published in America; some colonial composers (Timothy Swan will be included!); music from the Romantic era; two Christmas songs arranged by Western Massachusetts composer Alice Parker; a carol composed by Northampton composer Ronald Perera (in tribute to him - he passed away this summer); and The Christmas Cantata by Boston composer Daniel Pinkham.
